What I Bring to the Table
2019 - 2021
Goldfish Swim School
Teacher/Lifeguard
Supervisor
Front Desk Associate
Working for this organization was my first job experience. I worked here from the time I was 16 until I was 19. I truly loved my time at Goldfish. The only thing that stopped me from staying with them is the distance once I started my undergrad.
In the few years I worked here I got promoted twice. Working so much with children I had to certain skills such as patience and understanding. However, handling the children wasn't the most challenging part of this job. I had to give feedback to the parents and keep them satisfied with their lessons we provide. Having this responsibility, it was imperative that I learn good communication skills so that I could thrive in these positions.
2019 - Present
Independent Work
Caretaker/Babysitter
I started babysitting for a family when I turned 16 and I do still until this day. The kids today are 5 and 8, and I've watched them grow up and had a part in their learning. I feel this position has made me become a more well rounded person as it made me work on a variety of skills including patience, communication, time management, reliability, and creativity.
